My love for Spanish began while I was in high school. I had just completed one year of Spanish when I was hired as a lifeguard at a Christian camp for inner-city kids from St. Louis. The camp had a missionary friend that brought 12 Costa Ricans to work at the camp for a summer. I learned more from them in three months than I had in my first year of Spanish class!  Not only did I learn the language, I fell in love with the culture... and I wanted to know more.  I knew that I wanted to study Spanish in college.  While at Lambuth, I had the chance to study abroad at the University of Guanajuato in Mexico.  I lived with a Mexican family for the 6 weeks I studied there.  In addition, I went on my first international mission trip to Chincha Baja, Peru, the same summer.  After graduating from Lambuth in 2004, I lived in Leon, Nicaragua for seven months.  I worked as a missionary for El Ayudante.

I began teaching at Crockett County High School in August 2007.   I have taught Spanish 1, 2, and 3.  I look forward to sharing my love of the Spanish language and culture with students for years to come!

I was born and raised in Arcadia Valley, Missouri.  I moved to Jackson, Tennessee when I came to college at Lambuth University.  After graduating, I decided to stay in this area.  I married a Crockett Countian, John Cole, in 2008.  I began helping with volleyball at CCHS in 2008 and served as an assistant coach until 2015.
